Statement of Endorsement from Douglas County Prosecuting Attorney Hon. Sean Lewis

I have been an attorney for 30+ years and I had the privilege of working alongside Callan Martinez, and I have seen firsthand the qualities that make her an effective prosecutor and a strong leader. As my senior deputy prosecuting attorney, Callan has handled serious criminal cases, stood firm in the courtroom, and demonstrated the judgment, preparation, and determination this office requires. She doesn’t back down from defense attorneys, and she understands both the law and the responsibility prosecutors have to protect our community.

Leading a Prosecuting Attorney’s Office requires more than courtroom experience. It takes sound judgment, integrity, accountability, and the ability to make difficult decisions. Callan has demonstrated those qualities through her work, and she understands the importance of holding offenders accountable while ensuring cases are handled professionally and fairly.

As a lifelong Republican, I believe in public safety, strong leadership, and accountability. I have seen Callan put those principles into practice, and I have confidence in her ability to lead this office and serve the people of Douglas County.

My name will remain on the ballot, but I have written-in and filled in the box for CALLAN MARTINEZ for Douglas County Prosecuting Attorney. I am proud to endorse her and urge voters to write her name in as well to ensure Douglas County remains a safe place for all of us.
